Download the Galaxy J7 2016 (model no. SM-J710) firmware from below. The download links carry great speeds, better than what you get at Mega, Google Drive, etc. Feel free to share these links with your friends, and at forums online. If you need a firmware that’s not available here, do ask for that via comments below — don’t forget to provide the build no. of the firmware you are seeking. Enjoy!
This is the important part!
Be sure to check and find the correct the model no. of your Galaxy J7 2016. Then based on your device’s model no., look for the appropriate firmware build from above.
You can identify the model no. using an app called Droid Info, or simply check it on its packaging box, or under Settings > About. Another solid trick would be to look at the packaging box of your device (in case you can’t power on the device because it is bricked).
Now that you know the model no., download the latest firmware from above for that model no. exactly.
Next, install the firmware on your Galaxy J7 2016 by following the guide linked right below.
First, read our disclaimer, then take backup and then follow the guide below to install the firmware.
Disclaimer: Installing an official firmware through Odin doesn’t void your device’s warranty, but it remains an unofficial process and thus you need to be cautious of it. In any case, you only are responsible for your device. We won’t be liable if any damage occurs to your device and/or its components.
Backup, backup, backup! Create an appropriate backup of contacts, pictures, videos, songs and other important files stored on your device before proceeding with the steps below, so that in case something goes wrong you’ll have a backup of all your important files. Sometimes, firmware installation may delete everything on your device! Like, when you change the CSC of your device, knowingly or not.
Let’s see how to install the firmware on your Galaxy J7 2016. Make sure you have more than 30% battery on your device.
Step 1. Make sure you have downloaded the correct firmware file on your PC. See above for how to download correct firmware file for your Galaxy J7 2016 and download links.
Step 2. Install Samsung USB driver (method 1 on the linked page) first of all. Double click the .exe file of drivers to begin the installation. (Not required if you have already done this.)
Step 3. Also, download Odin PC software (latest version).
Step 4. Extract the firmware file now. You can use a free software like 7-zip for this. Install 7-zip, then right click on firmware file and under 7-zip, select ‘Extract here’. You should get a file in .tar.md5 format now. (You may get 4 or more files, with AP, BL, CP or CSC etc. written at the beginning of those files.) We will be loading this file into Odin, to be installed on device (in step 10 below).
Step 5. Extract the Odin file. You should get the Odin exe file (other files could be hidden, hence not visible).
Step 6. Disconnect your Galaxy J7 2016 from PC if it is connected.
Step 7. Boot into download mode:
Step 8. Double click on Odin .exe file (from step 5) to open the Odin window as shown below. Be careful with Odin, and do just as said to prevent problems.
Step 9. Connect your device now using USB cable. Odin should recognize your device. It’s a must. When it recognizes, you will see Added!! message appearing in the Log box in bottom left, and the first box under ID:COM will also show a no. and turn its background blue. Look at the pic below.
Step 10. Load the firmware file into Odin. Click the AP button on Odin and the select the .tar.md5 file from above.
Load the firmware files(s) on your device. This depends on how many files you got in step 4 above upon extracting the firmware .zip file.
Case 1: If you got a single .tar/.tar.md5 file, then load this into AP tab of your Odin software. Then go to next step.
To load the file, click on AP tab, select the single firmware file starting with AP text, wait for it to load, and then skip to step 11, ignoring the rest of the part of this step.
Case 2: If you got more than one .tar/.tar.md5 file, then you must be having files starting with AP, CSC, Home_CSC, BL, CP, etc. stuff. In this case, choose the files as following. Select the firmware files as follows.
About CSC file: Using the HOME_CSC file won’t reset your device, and data on the phone shouldn’t be deleted. However, when we select regular CSC file, and it results in CSC on device being different than that in CSC file, your phone will be formatted automatically. You can even choose to ignore loading the CSC file, that may do alright too. But if it doesn’t works out, repeat the whole process and select CSC file this time around.
Step 11. Click on Options tab, and make sure Re-partition check box is NOT selected. Don’t use PIT tab, ever.
Go back to Log tab now, as it will show the progress of firmware installation when you hit start button in next step.
Step 12. Verify that everything is okay as mentioned above. When satisfied, click the Start button on Odin now to start flashing the firmware on your device.
Wait till installation is finished, after which your device will reboot automatically. You’ll get PASS message as shown below upon successful installation from Odin.
Some errors you may run into, and with respective solution.
That’s it. Let device restart automatically.
First start of the device may take time, so wait patiently again. When it has, verify the installation. Check the Settings > About device, to confirm new build no. based on the firmware you just installed.

This is an important part!
Be sure to check and find the correct model no. of your Galaxy J3. Then, based on your device’s model no., look for the appropriate firmware build from above.
You can identify the model no. using an app called Droid Info, or simply check it on its packaging box, or under Settings > About. Another solid trick would be to look at the packaging box of your device (in case you can’t power on the device because it is bricked).
Now that you know the model no., download the latest firmware from above for that model no. exactly.
Next, install the firmware on your Galaxy J3 by following the guide linked right below.
Let’s see how to install the firmware on your Galaxy J3. Make sure you have more than 30% battery on your device.
Step 1. Make sure you have downloaded the correct firmware file on your PC. See above for how to download correct firmware file for your Galaxy J3 and download links.
Step 2. Install Samsung USB driver (method 1 on the linked page) first of all. Double-click the .exe file of drivers to begin the installation.
(You may get 4 or more files, with AP, BL, CP or CSC etc. written at the beginning of those files.) We will be loading this file into Odin, to be installed on the device (in step 10 below).
Step 5. Extract the Odin file. You should get the Odin exe file (other files could be hidden, hence not visible).
Step 6. Disconnect your Galaxy J3 from PC if it is connected.
Step 7. Boot into download mode:
Step 8. Double click on Odin .exe file (from step 5) to open the Odin window as shown below. Be careful with Odin, and do just as said to prevent problems.
Step 9. Connect your device now using the USB cable. Odin should recognize your device. It’s a must. When it recognizes, you will see Added!! message appearing in the Log box in the bottom left, and the first box under ID:COM will also show a no. and turn its background blue.
Case 2: If you got more than one .tar/.tar.md5 file, then you must be having files starting with AP, CSC, Home_CSC, BL, CP, etc. stuff. In this case, choose the files as follows. Select the firmware files as follows.
About CSC file: Using the HOME_CSC file won’t reset your device, and data on the phone shouldn’t be deleted. However, when we select regular CSC file, and it results in CSC on the device being different than that in CSC file, your phone will be formatted automatically. You can even choose to ignore loading the CSC file, that may do alright too. But if it doesn’t work out, repeat the whole process and select CSC file this time around.
Step 11. Click on Options tab, and make sure Re-partition checkbox is NOT selected. Don’t use PIT tab, ever.
Go back to Log tab now, as it will show the progress of firmware installation when you hit the start button in next step.
That’s it. Let the device restart automatically.
The first start of the device may take time, so wait patiently again. When it has, verify the installation. Check the Settings > About device, to confirm new build no. based on the firmware you just installed.
Need help? Be sure to let us know via comments below.
You can use the firmware for a variety of purposes, which includes:
To perform any of the above, simply install the firmware meant for your device, as per its Galaxy J3 firmware in Settings > About device.
It’s good to keep a firmware downloaded on PC, so that in case anything goes wrong with your Galaxy On7 that’s not hardware-break/fault, you can restore the device back to stock using the firmware.
The direct download link provided below of Galaxy On7 firmware get you better and faster speed than others, and are thus a good alternative to sammobile.com and samsung-updates.com. You don’t need to look for mega and google drive links for Samsung firmware thanks to the links below.

This is an important part!
Be sure to check and find the correct model no. of your Galaxy On7.
Now that you know the model no., download the latest firmware from above for that model no. exactly.
Next, install the firmware on your Galaxy On7 by following the guide linked right below.
Let’s see how to install the firmware on your Galaxy On7. Make sure you have more than 30% battery on your device.
Step 1. Make sure you have downloaded the correct firmware file on your PC. See above for how to download correct firmware file for your Galaxy On7 and download links.
Step 2. Install Samsung USB driver (method 1 on the linked page) first of all. Double-click the .exe file of drivers to begin the installation.
(You may get 4 or more files, with AP, BL, CP or CSC etc. written at the beginning of those files.) We will be loading this file into Odin, to be installed on the device (in step 10 below).
Step 5. Extract the Odin file. You should get the Odin exe file (other files could be hidden, hence not visible).
Step 6. Disconnect your Galaxy On7 from PC if it is connected.
Case 2: If you got more than one .tar/.tar.md5 file, then you must be having files starting with AP, CSC, Home_CSC, BL, CP, etc.
That’s it. Let the device restart automatically.
The first start of the device may take time, so wait patiently again. When it has, verify the installation. Check the Settings > About device, to confirm new build no. based on the firmware you just installed.

You can use the firmware for a variety of purposes, which includes:
To perform any of the above, simply install the firmware meant for your device, as per its Galaxy On7 firmware in Settings > About device.
The stock firmware for Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro, 2016, is available for download. The firmware is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, as expected as device launched with Marshmallow on-board.
Which also means that until Android N (7.0) drops by, there wouldn’t be any major update for the Galaxy A9 Pro. And that would take a lot of time as it’s expected that Google will release the Android 7.0 by October, and because Samsung will update its high-end devices like Galaxy S7 and Note 7 first, devices like Galaxy A9 Pro will get the 7.0 firmware only by Q2 2017.
Anyway, if you own a Galaxy A9 Pro, or planning to buy one, you should keep a firmware downloaded on your PC. When you try to root a device or install TWRP recovery, and play with custom ROMs and root apps (not there are not any cool non-root apps out there), then there are chances you end up screwing your device.
In such cases, or in other simple cases like installing a bad app from the play store by mistake causing issues with the device, you need a firmware which you can install yourself to bring the device back to factory state and fix all issues with it.
We have provided direct download links for the firmwares of Galaxy A9 Pro below, and will be updating the article as and when new ones come by. Grab the firmware meant for your A9 Pro, and install it whenever you need to using our guide linked below. Have fun!

That’s it. Let the device restart automatically.
The first start of the device may take time, so wait patiently again. When it has, verify the installation. Check the Settings > About device, to confirm new build no. based on the firmware you just installed.

You can use the firmware for a variety of purposes, which includes:
To perform any of the above, simply install the firmware meant for your device, as per its Galaxy J2 firmware in Settings > About
Update [October 17, 2016]: Recently added firmwares: G610FDDU1API4, G610FDDU1APHD, G610MUBU1API6, G610MUBU1API5, G610YZTU1APJ3 and G610YZTU1APJ2.
The Galaxy On7 2016 is getting a new successor with the 2016 edition, appropriately called Galaxy On7 2016. The firmware for the new and upcoming On7 2016 are already available, so we thought about sharing them with you guys already.
These Galaxy On7 2016 firmware are stock ROMs that can be sued to fix the device, and also unroot and/or uninstall TWRP recovery. Moreover, if you run into any kind of software issues with the device, just install the firmware from below — be sure to check for the model no. first — and your device should be back up and running.
Do let us know if you need any help with this.
This is the important part!
Be sure to check and find the correct the model no. of your Galaxy On7 2016.
Now that you know the model no., download the latest firmware from above for that model no. exactly.
Next, install the firmware on your Galaxy On7 2016 by following the guide linked right below.
Let’s see how to install the firmware on your Galaxy On7 2016. Make sure you have more than 30% battery on your device.
Step 1. Make sure you have downloaded the correct firmware file on your PC. See above for how to download correct firmware file for your Galaxy On7 2016 and download links.
Step 6. Disconnect your Galaxy On7 2016 from PC if it is connected.

Samsung will soon release the new and shiny Galaxy Tab A Android tablet, but its firmware is already available for download. Do check out this page if you are looking to buy the Tab A in future, as we will post all Tab A updates here, along with Android 7.0 Nougat, while the device will release on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
To have a firmware of your device downloaded is always good. If you screw things on the software side anytime, installing the firmware would fix it. Issues like bootloop, soft-bricked, unroot, remove TWRP, etc. can be easily fixed simply by installing the firmware.

Be sure to check and find the correct model no. of your Galaxy Tab A.
Now that you know the model no., download the latest firmware from above for that model no. exactly.
Next, install the firmware on your Galaxy Tab A by following the guide linked right below.
Let’s see how to install the firmware on your Galaxy Tab A. Make sure you have more than 30% battery on your device.
Step 1. Make sure you have downloaded the correct firmware file on your PC. See above for how to download correct firmware file for your Galaxy Tab A and download links.
Step 2. Install Samsung USB driver (method 1 on the linked page) first of all. Double-click the .exe file of drivers to begin the installation.
(You may get 4 or more files, with AP, BL, CP or CSC etc. written at the beginning of those files.) We will be loading this file into Odin, to be installed on the device (in step 10 below).
Step 5. Extract the Odin file. You should get the Odin exe file (other files could be hidden, hence not visible).
Step 6. Disconnect your Galaxy Tab A from PC if it is connected.
Case 2: If you got more than one .tar/.tar.md5 file, then you must be having files starting with AP, CSC, Home_CSC, BL, CP, etc.
To perform any of the above, simply install the firmware meant for your device, as per its Galaxy Tab A firmware in Settings > About device.
Find the free download links for the firmware files of the Galaxy Folder 2 below. The links come with fast download speed while not costing you anything, so please spread the word and help us grow, too.
Installing a firmware helps you a lot when you are looking to go back to stock, or reset, and even when you looking to remove root and/or TWRP recovery from it.
We don’t think Samsung would release Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Galaxy Folder 2, but in case it comes out, we will be sure to provide a download link to Oreo firmware here.

Samsung has released two identical device with the same model no. recently, albeit in different markets, perhaps to seize the popularity of the devices in respective countries. With the release of SM-G570 in India as Galaxy J5 Prime (where it has hired Shahid Kapoor as brand ambassador for the J series), and as On5 2016 (same model no.) in China, we think J series is more popular India, with On series famous in China.

Step 6. Disconnect your Galaxy J Prime/On5 from PC if it is connected.
